the first annual
Downtown Escondido Fashion Week presented by Mercedes Benz
of Escondido.
With designers Ricky Lizalde of Project Runway, Evening
Wear and Bridals by Susanti, and sportswear by Miriam
J showcasing their latest fashions, you will also see
runway shows that include hair designers, make-up artists,
downtown clothing boutiques, home accessory stores, and
more.

Fashion Show, Fire Fighters, and Miriam J at the Head to
Toe Women's Expo
As spring approaches, it's time for renewal and rediscovery,
and The Head to Toe Women's Expo - now in its fifth year
-will help local women do just that. The three-day show
is set for Friday, April 11, Saturday, April 12, and Sunday,
April 13, 2008 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
Miriam J is proud to be one of an array of unique
offerings at the show this year.
Presented
by Ralph's Grocery, the Head to Toe Women's Expo gives mothers,
daughters, and girlfriends a chance to reconnect during
a weekend of shopping, pampering, makeovers, inspirational
speakers and more. Attendees can stroll through a virtual
village of apparel, jewelry, handbags, accessories, wine,
gourmet foods, and home décor - from more than 200 local
and regional entrepreneurs and businesses. Expo apparel
will be featured in a Fashion Show on Saturday and Sunday
at 2 p.m., with special runway guests from the San Diego
Humane Society - local pet therapy dogs dressed to the nines.
New
to the show this year, are the North County Firefighters
straight from the pages of a 2008 calendar to with a portion
of the calendar proceeds benefiting a firefighter's fitness
program and the Burn Institute of San Diego County. Additionally,
experts from business, home/garden and cooking will be on-hand
for demonstrations and seminars where you'll learn, grow
